Encyclopedia Britannica is no longer available in the print version. So I guess my Britannica set would be a prized vintage after some years!
In the war between Britannica and Wikipedia; in other words credibility and free availability, the latter has won.
Wikipedia is swallowing all encyclopedias one by one.
This happened to Microsoft's Encarta too, the encyclopedia from which I did my homework in school days. It was discontinued in 2009 because of the competition from Wikipedia.
Britannica, however, is not entirely shut down but will continue to be available online.
